Industry
In industrial applications, anthracite is used in processes requiring high temperature and long-lasting combustion, such as metallurgical furnaces, dryers, lime kilns, and other thermal plants. Due to its high carbon content, it is also applied as both a reducing agent and an energy source in metallurgy and in the production of specific materials (e.g. ferroalloys), as well as in industrial boilers for process steam generation.
